29 weeks and no more ultrasounds???

So I went to the Dr last Friday at 28 weeks and I was told that I won't be getting anymore ultra sounds. I asked if it was bc of my insurance or something and she insisted no bc i have medicaid and they will pay for however many I need. Now here's the thing. I am freaking out bc my last pregnancy I got an ultrasound every other week and then we lost our baby at 20 weeks. Her heart just stopped beating. This pregnancy is considered a "high risk pregnancy" only bc of the last one. Saw a specialist up until 25 weeks and everything is perfect. I'm just a little thrown off by no more ultrasounds the rest of the time?? How will they tell how much he weighs? How will they tell which position he is in so I know whether or not I need to have and c section? Am I just over reacting or are no more sonograms normal for the remainder of my pregnancy normal?

My doctor office gives a free 4D ultrasound at 38 weeks but other than that 20weeks is pretty standard for no more unless there is a problem. Butif yyour uncomfortable with it and your insurance will pay request another one to ease your mind. And about the weight thing, its only about 45% accurate anyway, my doctor doesn't even tell you what the ultrasound is saying as far as weight or what the estimated birth weight will be. Don't stress. :)

With my first I only had 2 ultrasounds. One at 6weeks and one at 20. And this time I have had one at 6 and one at 14(couldn't find heartbeat) then one at 20weeks. I found out my son has enlarged kidneys so we have another at 30weeks. I'm sure if they have concerns they will do another but if baby looked good at 20 its normal to be done. You can pay out of pocket for more ultrasounds like a 3d/4d one

I completely understand this is my third baby and third Dr because of moving each time and even though I have been happy with my care it's interesting to see even just the little things each Dr does differently

@mitch_14 thank you. I just wasn't sure about all of that. I didn't want to freak out in front of the doc. Haha.

It's normal to not have any more after 20 weeks if everything is going good  I wouldn't worry. They still measure you and all that so they can tell if things are going the way they should and they can tell by feeling your stomach position of baby. If they have any concerns later they will do another to check everything out.
