sweeping membranes :(
I don't want my membranes swept but that's looking like the plan if no progress by sat. Any stories or experiences? Level of pain ? Idk if it makes a diff. But last time I was checked I was 1cm 80% effaced.

The thing is a sweep will only help if your baby and body are ready for labor. My sister had them with 2 of her kids but had to have it done 2 times each. I think it's really best to just allow baby to come when they are ready.
Having my membranes stripped tomorrow morning! Sooooo hoping that this works. Ready to be done. I'll be 38+4 tomorrow. Having more Braxton hicks today than normal after having sex earlier.

Im 38 weeks too. Sounds like you've had a rough month. I can see why youd be frustrated. Hopefully youve made improvement. Im trying to walk as much as I can, raspberry tea, and doing the deed ;).
Yea. Idk I feel like the shots they gave me to stop labor and the medication just wacked my body out. I really wish I could have delivered at 36weeks with MY Dr. Omg I couldn't imagine being 42 weeks. I'm starting to get depressed as it is as everyday passes and nothing new happens.
Thats true I know how you feel, with my first born I was induced a day before my due date. I was in labor for 12 hours and it was really horrible. This time im not going to allow being induced unless I am two weeks past my due date, im 39 weeks and 1 day. When my son was born he was really sentimental like he wasn't ready to come out :(

Yea I don't wanna be induced. I've been reading it can labor 10x worst then it already is and can increase chances of a csection. Its just frustrating I've went to preterm labor at 35 weeks they stopped it. And again at 36 weeks and stopped it because my Hosp. Isn't suited to handle baby's any earlier then 37 weeks. My ob wanted to deliver me but couldn't because of the hosp. Policy and if I wanted to deliver I would have had to go to a diff Hosp. Where my ob did not have admitting rights so it would have been a diff dr I never meet delivering my girl. So she put me on medication for that week so I wouldn't go in labor. So once I stopped the meds I was expecting to go right into labor but nope. Now I maybe forcing my girl out which has me beyond maddd. Ughhhhh.
How far along are you guys?
I know... im dreading my doctor telling me this week to do it again... but inducing labor for some reason sounds more painful than sweeping membranes. If I can have my baby before due date, I'll try it again... dont be scared, just pretend youre having a period cramp and try to relax and breathe so the doctor can do it fast.
Omg I'm such a wimp. I don't even know how I'm gonna get thru labor lol. I don't wanna go thru it and nothing you know. But I'm ready for my girl I'm completely over being prego.
It feels uncomfortable, like a period cramp that makes you want to tense up. It doesnt last more than a minute and my doctor said I was in complete control, I could ask him to stop if I couldnt handle it (which I didnt stop him). Remember to breathe, like when in labor deep breathing and it wont hurt once hes done. You might just feel a bit crampy that day and next and maybe light spotting. I did get a lot of braxton hicks that day and the next and lost my plug but still pregnant. I had it done last Thursday and I was also 80% effaced and 1 1/2 dilated.
