anemic :(

I had my glucose test done at 28 weeks I'm 29 weeks now and at my appointmemt yesterday they said sugar was great but iron was low. I didn't want iron pills, constipation, so I will make a drastic change to my diet. Any foods you girls suggest? I love my greens and eat eggs often. What else can I eat to help?

Im 35 weeks and had my blood work done. My iron came back extremely low... they have me on 650 mg a day... I've always had issues with my iron though.

Spinach, collared greens, pineapples, pears, peaches.....make you go!! Greek yogurt daily! I had the same problem. But I only took stool softeners when I didn't eat properly. Hope it helps.

Midwife said it was close to being low enough for iron pills but just on the line. I'm quite sure if it was very low and diet wouldn't help she would have given me a script for iron pills. Don't you think if it was sooo low she would have??

You won't be able to consume enough dietary iron to overcome this during your pregnancy,  mckee.

You can use stool softeners and as peaches suggests,  consume a lot of fiber.
