bvac wanted!

So my dr knows I've had a natural birth then a c section 9 months later and now 28 weeks prego 8 years later. I told him I didn't want to do a c section due to all the chaos that went with my last one. He understood and said he was fine doing either or, that it was up to me. That took a lot of stress off my mind. My last visit we talked more about my previous c section and asked if he could look into my records to see how the delivery dr did the procedure to make sure I could do a bvac. Now lwts say the delivery dr made it to where I could only have c sections from now on,   Does that mean he took my right to choose away from me or anything? I had my heart set on a bvac and now im scared I wont be able to have one. :(

I was told on my prenatal classes that it depens on your previous insicion if it was vertical or horizontal i do not remember wich one will have a high risk to open if you go vaginal sorry

Sounds like you had a classical incision up and down unfortunately that does pretty much mean no vbac bc the risk of rupture with that scar is just not a risk most ppl and doctors are willing to take. That is y they no longer preform that incision. Just make sure that's what he meant. Im sry hun :-(

My dr is for me going natural. He just doesnt want to put me at risk if my previous delivery dr gave me a certain c section.

He can't force you but he can recommend.  My doctor told me she doesn't do bvacs because to her the risk of uterine rupture is too high.  With that I said ok.   If the risk out weights it I would listen to the doctor or get a second option if you really feel strong about it.

That doesn't make sense. Unless they dont support vbac or the Incision was the classic cut or depending on why you had your section to begin with they can't force you Into a section..
