Thank you all so much for your comments. It's good to know that at least we're not alone. I'm on 20mg now...was on 40mg of Prozac before becoming pregnant. I'm just going to tell my OB how I've been feeling lately. I know that feeling so down, and the anxiety that comes with it, can't be good for baby. Thanks, Mommas!! :-)

I take 25mg of Zoloft for anxiety and depression. I was taking 10mg of paxil daily before getting pregnant but then went off of it. At 22 weeks I really couldn't handle it anymore and my doctor had me go on Zoloft. I'm 25 weeks now and I am much better now that it is in my system.

I am 36w4d and I asked my doctor today about getting on an antidepressant. I am okay now,  I haven't had any depression but I've suffered in the past with it, so I wanted to go ahead and try to get it in my system in case I get postpartum. My doctor said she didn't want me on it until after the baby is here. She said the baby would be affected by it

I am taking 10mg of Cipralex (Lexapro, stateside) every day.  I called the doc as soon as I got a positive pregnancy test and he advised that I stay on.  I start my 2nd trimester today.  Trimester 1 was very tough so I'm glad I maintained my dose so I didn't have to deal with the pregnancy and coming off the meds.  I had low depression points throughout the trimester.  It has improved a bit as my hormones seem to be leveling out a bit.  In the states, it is rated as a Class C drug for pregnancy, where there are associated risks but the benefits may outweigh the risks.  There is a chance that Cipralex will appear as high as 3% in breast milk but again, this may way outweigh dealing with post-partum depression.   Good luck, momma!  What is best for you is probably best for baby too!

I'm on Prozac, 40 mg. Its too low but not gonna mess with the meds till after baby is born (I've had problems when messing with my drugs in the past). My doc said its fine. Talk to yours about increasing. Take it slow. They'll probably also recommend exercise and talk therapy.

I'm bipolar as well and was lucky that the medication I take is okay and I can continue taking it. It's been the only med that had kept my moods steady. I did have to stop my ativan but I've been lucky that my anxiety had been good. @tt- I'm surprised they would not let you take anything. There's tons of stuff that is okay to take. @ OP- def talk to your doctor about needing an increase.  I'm sure they'll help you out. Better to have any condition under control. Good luck mama:)
