I would talk to your Dr but also go see a chiropractor. Most chiropractors will take xrays first (at least they should), if you feel there is more to it then talk to them and they can order other tests done. Some chiropractors are also trained physical therapists so if you could find one of those that would be awesome. My brother is one and he is wonderful! He lives 3 1/2 hours away from me but I go once a month to see him to get adjusted and he has me doing stretches and therapy between visits. Where do you live? Maybe he can help recommend someone in your area.

I had my shoulder surgery when i was 25 :/ and then knee surgery at 28 (that was minor) both were mainly congenital problems...hyper-mobile joints

you really do not want to mess around with back problems at a young age.

I hope you find the right form of exercise for you!
I've had great success with Pilates after surgery (recommended for by my PT), i did spin after my knee was fixed.

also talk to your doctor - they could prescribe physical therapy. I would for sure want to consult a trained physical therapist before starting any exercise program, especially about yoga or swimming - those can both mess up your back depending on the injury. .
I had a bad shoulder and worked with a chiropractor for months - but it never got any better, turns out it was torn cartilage and surgery was the only option.
my friends suggested both yoga and swimming for my shoulder as well - both totally bad for it.

I swim to relieve back pain. Other than that I like a bath and prenatal yoga.

I go to the chiropractor regularly(or I try) it helps a lot with my hips. I still have some discomfort but he generally helps alot. I try to walk regularly and make sure I drink lots of water. If I don't I get achey
