cramps

Im 34 weeks prrgnant now in the middle of the night i feel that my in my down abdomen is hurts feels like im getting my period.. I do is never think of it and ill go to bed.. But when i wake up its 3:30 am it feels the same.. And it even hurts in above my abdomen.. Can some one tell me whats the meaning of that?

Until last night, I had only ever had cramps a few times recently. A couple of weeks ago, when I did a lot of walking at the Zoo. And once walking my sisters dog. They hurt, but stopped when I stopped walking.
Last night I got them a lot while I was only on the couch,.and more all over my tummy, not just low.
And they hurt! This morning I think they have gone away, but man oh man...now I am a scared kitten for how bad labour will hurt. Bring on the epidural. I dont care about being a tough cookie or experiencing the beauty of it naturally. I want drugs and as pain free as possible. Oo

Well it could be braxtion hicks they get a little painful as u get further along but if u feel its more than that and really worried u should go get checked out. good luck to ya and i hope every thing qorks out
