anyone else worried?

I am really worried about the measles outbreak. I am due on 3/9 and i HAVE to go back to work after my son reaches 6 weeks. I havent heard anything about Oklahoma having a case yet. YET. but its spreading and there is always a risk that it will eventually get here. i am a single mom now, so daycare is my only option of being able to provide for my children. So the risk is so much greater. :0(

Nurse, nurse, nurse! Breastfeed your baby! I don't know if that is what you are planning on doing, but it is the best thing you can do to give your baby antibodies and a lot of other good stuff

I dont blame you.  There are to many cases popping up. And to the first commenter, measles can be fatal, yes medicine has come so far since the days of the iron lung but please do some research before you state untrue things.

To the original poster, the best you can do for your child is to research the daycare center and their vax policies before you send your child there. Maybe look into having in home care until your child is older if you're that concerned.

Not worried at all. The measles are not life threatening and the whole 'outbreak' has been exaggerated by the media. If you, I or our children get the measles it will involve a slight fever, the red rash, and a few other minor symptoms that fade after 7-10 days... and that IF someone gets it. Once you get it you will be resistant from getting it again-same with children. There is no need to feel worried.
