So im 37 weeks and up until now I had not had my asthma act up...its 5:55 am and I feel I need my inhaler and minor wheezing has started. ..any mommies out there struggling with this and if so is it safe to inhale from the inhaler...

I actually never had asthma until I was pregnant with my first child.   Since she was born 7 years ago, it acts up occasionally.   I'm usually perfectly fine unless I get sick, then it flares up. This pregnancy I started having asthma attacks early on and the ob prescribed me an inhaler.  Perfectly safe ☺

Your doctors can prescribe a daily inhaler that will prevent asthma attacks. The only category B prevention inhaler is Pulmicort, I take that along with Claritin, and singular to control my asthma. All are category B and safe. we are the same almost as far along as each other I am 34 weeks this wed. Good luck.

The stairs are getting a little more challenging at 32 weeks. Definitely take it, it was one of my first questions to the dr. My asthma isn't that bad so I'm hoping the low dosage isn't an issue for the baby.

I take symbiotic... Higher dose of steroids.. twice a day an a rescue inhaler. I have been dealing with it from the beginning and have had problems with all 3 pregnancys. The Dr's hate having me on it but I can't go without it.

Your inhaler is totally fine to take. Even if it was a lower pregnancy category they would always advise you to take it as you breathing is quite important!

I asked my doctor as soon as I got pregnant if I could and she said yes. I would take it.
