Hospital bag with cloth diapers

I didn't use cloth diapers in the beginning with first but plan on doing so with this baby girl.  Just curious should i bring them to the hospital?I have newborn sizes and one size diapers. How many should i bring? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think we'll be waiting until we get home to get started - but it probably wouldn't be too tough to bring prefolds, covers, and a wet bag to the hospital with you. Every hospital I've ever been in has an easy to use sprayer attached to every toilet's plumbing which would make rinsing those messy meconium diapers a snap. Totally up to you! Best of luck :-)

I'm also going to be using cloth, but I'll be waiting until I get home to start.

Yeah, you'll really want to wait til the poop become normal yellow before you start using your cloth diapers. Just use the diapers provided by the hospital until then. Little secret...the nurses occasionally check your supply stock, so when they fill your stock up with diapers, remove them and stick them in your bag...the next time a nurse check she/he will see you need more and bring you more!

I like to save my cloth for home- those meconium poops are very hard to clean!

I cloth diaper as well, I don't bring them to the hospital, namely because I won't be able to wash them there and if we have to stay longer it would be a pain. I will bring some for when we go home, so from the time we get ready to leave on, she will be in cloth.

I'm going to cloth diaper to. I'm going to start when I come home from the hospital. Just so its easier when leaving u don't have to pack dirty diapers.

Probably would be easier to just use the diapers the hospital gives you because then you'd have to bring them home and wash them!    Ick
