You should have as many baby showers as you want!! Whoever wants to support you will show up. Forget everyone else.

I personally dont think it matters how many showers you have.I think its a celebration and welcoming of a new baby were your family and friends come together and celebrate and there's not rule or law that says you can only have 1 babyshower a lifetime. So if you wanna have 1 I say go for it. Its not like ur asking for or expecting your family and friends to spend a whole lot of money on 1 or 2 gifts

A baby shower is for family and friends to come and celebrate the new baby and bring gifts to save the parents money. It doesn't matter how many you have. No one knows her situation. She may need help. After having 4 other kids, that's selfish to make her buy everything for a 5th child when there's family and friends that could help with getting things for the new baby. I say go for it. Didn't know you can put a limit on baby showers. Some people are rude and insensitive.

I think you should have as many baby showers as you want! I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby and yes I have had one with every child! It was fun with my family and friends! If this is something you want I think you should go for it!

I agree with fallbb... do what you want. If people show up great if they dont oh well. Every baby should be celebrated regardless of the situation.

First of all, shame on you for asking....but people are so funny and rude.
I say go for it and have a fifth baby shower! Your not asking people to go out and buy you things, that's up them if they want to, it's a time to get together with family and friends and celebrate:)
There's no reason to make excuses on if this it's your first...second...third...or different dad...blah blah blah. A baby shower is a baby shower. Puerile decide if they want and can go...simple. I'll bet you your friends and family will all be there. With our without a gift...it doesn't matter. Nevermind other people's negative remarks.

I think expecting people to continually buy you new things is selfish. If you need things,  you need to get them yourself at this point. If you want to throw a celebration and feed people who come to celebrate with you, different story. But it's no one's financial responsibility but yours to purchase baby items after the first shower.

If I have a second baby, I don't think I would want another baby shower, for me, is too much, but that's me

5 showers is too many but finding a way to celebrate this new baby is a wonderful thing. Birthways or just a get together with friends can be enough to acknowledge this new person joining your family.

5 showers is to much I really don't know how far apart your kids are but my daughter will be 10 next month and I have been with a new man this is the only reason I'm having a baby shower it's been a very long time for me since I had a baby in my life..

I say go for it. Showers are for welcoming a baby, it doesn't matter how many you've already had.

I think five baby shower is a bit much! Instead of a shower you can have a sprinkle party or a diaper party so people could just bring wipes and diapers that will save you money.

I dont see anything wrong with having multiple baby showers. Maybe I think of showers different.  The ones I experienced were more of celebrations men and women went and gifts were optional. Many people didnt bring gifts or if they did they were small gifts like onsies or diapers.

If you planned on having more kids you should have kept the stuff?? Four is way to many. I wouldn't even go if I was invited to someone's.w that many previous ones

Yeah I agree w above. I had two but my first was w my ex. Then I got married and my mil threw me one bc my hubby is her only child so it was her.first grandchild. I couldn't imagine another I thought a second one was tacky but it was more for my hubby. You should be more then set with four other kids. I always save my stuff  I'm having my third boy so I only need more crib sheets and a crib.  But if I got rid of everything it'd b bc I'm done having babies. In my opinion its kind of selfish to have another..

I've only have had three because of age difference. I never hold on to any baby stuff gave it away after they are to old for it. That's why I figured I would see how many other people have had.

I had two, but thats because I had girls and then this currentt pregnancy im having boys and I have a good gap of years and didnt have much baby stuff left, also I didnt know I was having one, it was done as a surprise. With this being your 5th child, id say if you need one have one, but from a personal perspective if I was invited to a baby shower by someone on their fifth pregnancy I probably wouldnt bring a gift, only some wipes or diapers be ause id assume you have the other things. Maybe do a diaper shower instead or something else??

Do you need anything after 4 children? Where I'm from everyone only has one. Maybe two if its with a different man. A lot of women throw multiple showers but I can't see 5....
