I live in Ontario, Canada and have bad both of my babies in different hospitals in different cities here. The first hospital in a small city gave my baby a knitted hat to keep when she was born. They also let us use diapers and wipes and take home what was left when we went home, they also gave us baby wash and a tube of vaseline. I bf my first so they didn't give formula or anything. They gave her outfits to wear while she was there and receiving blankets to use. They gave me those mesh underwear to use and pads as well as a peri bottle. With my second who was born in a bigger hospital in a bigger city, he did not get any outfits, blankets, or even a hat. They gave us formula and disposable nipples to use for him, and we got to take a package of the ready to feed formula home as well. They gave me those mesh panties as well and a peri bottes, although I had to ask for it. Every hospital is different.
Robe, panties, come home clothes, personal items for showering
Diaper, wipes, ready to feed formula, diaper bag, receiving blanket, sanitary napkins, pacifier, nasal bulb
Thank you ladies for responding :)
Another question what did you personally take for yourself???
I got diapers, wipes, nasal cleaner, blankets, hats, shirts, socks, baby soap.
Sounds like what they "use" give years ago. Now the Babies wear paper shirts after they are born. They don't use pre-moistened diaper wipes, they use paper towels that you have to actually wet.
I would suggest you take the blankets that are in the bottom of the bassinet, because they will not offer them to you. As well as the Diapers. They do count the Diapers to determine how many wet and poopy diapers the Baby has a day. But you can ask for extra. Also ask for extra formula as well.
Personally, the only thing I didn't need to bring was Milk and Diapers. Im glad I brought the long sleeve shirts and Onesies with me.
I live in Miami, Fl, so it might be different where you are. Good luck Sweetie♥
Every hospital is different some don't give anything
What are you referring to? We took home a few diapers and some onesies bc my first was so much smaller than expected and the ones I'd brought were too big. I also took some of the bed pads in case you are still bleeding but found out I was billed for them.
Diapers, wipes, ready to feed formula, pacifiers, receiving blankets, and the long sleeve shirts with the built in mittens is what my hospital gives.
