My baby has been tricking me too. Been having contractions for past few weeks and nothing. I am now 39 weeks and contractions are not strong enough or consistent enough to take me to l&d.  And I've tried what Ohbebebaby suggested and still nothing.

You may have been dehydrated yesterday. The lack of water will definitely bring on Labor. Hence the reason why they stop you from drinking anything when you're in actual Labor so it doesn't stall. So if you really are ready for your little Miracle to arrive,  go for a power walk and don't drink any thing for about 2 hours or so. Sip enough water to wet your palate. I'm sure a Ton of women will disagree, but 6 women have taken my advice and thanked me for my suggestion.
