baby rash?

My baby boy is only a week old but he's has a rash on his arms and legs now. The only thing I've used on him was Johnson and Johnson baby lotion. I'm not too crazy about using it in him because of the fragrance but my husband seems to think it's okay and pretty mild to use on him. Have any of you moms had issues with the brand or is it just my imagination? I would like to try an organic brand if natural ingredients. Any suggestions?

Maybe call his Dr first and see what they think. He certainly could be allergic to the lotion tho.. You could try a bath with just warm water to get the login off or a tiny but if the Johnson soap. and see if that helps first before switching and then you don't know what was causing the rash.. Also what laundry soap are you using on his clothes? Make sure that is fragrance and dye free. Just remember he has never had anything on his skin so it's all very new to him. I say start by calling the dr and talking to a nurse and go from there. That's what they are there for :-)

Try aveeno lotion or aqua phor. While I like the smell of j&j on babies it doesn't work for all of them. I bought different brands for this baby should she have a reaction to Johnson's like her brother.
