baby's head gets dents if I poke?

hi ladies,
many ppl have warned me not to poke around on my tummy when I feel baby move or when some part of my baby sticks out on some spot. they say it could be her head and I could be creating dents on her soft and fragile skull, and it could harm her if I happen to push the wrong spot.
I really dont push very hard, but I do like to play around with her. sometimes she moves away, and sometimes she appears somewhere else. It's fun.

I know I've posted a similar concern before, but I'm a lil worried. should I stop fondling my belly??

Your baby is well protected inside of you. Tell these people to stop stressing you out. Mommies don't all of those extra worries we have enough just from what the doctors say we should and shouldn't do.

You will not hurt baby unless you are punching yourself in the stomach pretty hard. It is ok to poke belly and make baby move. If your baby does not move for a extended amount of time and you go into the Dr they normally poke and push to see if baby will start moving. I shake my belly a little up and down and sorta move it around to wake baby up and poke a little to get baby to move.

Their little heads get squashed coming through the birth canal, so im sure poking is fine. And I also poked my lo all the time. I once had even run into a door whete her head was and she is perfectly fine. They're well protected.

Thanks ladies!
I feel reassured that a lil rubbing and poking wont harm my baby. I find the movements the best part about being pregnant.

I have been told by my midwife that poking (obv not too hard) is a way of playing/communicating with your baby. When I poke she kicks etc, it's fun

The baby is all over in there hitting ribs pelvic bones and everything else I don't think you are going to hurt the baby. But I'm no expert just think it seems silly to me for ppl to say that.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that enjoys that!!! I dont poke really, I kinda just rub on the spots he pokes out at. Most of the time I have a pretty good idea of where his head is though. I've never had any one tell me not to do that though. I've heard all kinds of other myths on stuff I'm not supposed to do. Lol. I've also had issues on people commenting on how small I am and asking if baby is okay etc. Anyway, I say as long as you're not poking with too much pressure, I don't see any harm in it. :-)
It is a lot of fun getting interact with little one while their in your belly. :-D

I'm sure if your not pressing really hard it's fine. Your body is your babies protector and I think it protects your baby especially the head where poking wouldn't damage anything.  I get constant kicks to the ribs and I don't push hard but I have to help vear it back inwards because it hurts! Lol
