I had a scare at 15wks 2dys where 2 dif midwifes tried for ages and found nothing so I was sent for emergency scan where they found baby straight away but was told at hospital they shouldn't really have panicked me at such an early stage. Most midwifes will ask you do you want them to try so early even though they may not hear anything. My 1st preg I was 18 weeks and she couldn't hear a heartbeat there was a big fuss and concern but I had fallen down a flight of stairs so maybe that was more the reason. I would take it as it was just to early and baby is very small :)
@countrymomtobe....thanks
Thanks so much..... I'm gonna call the Dr this morning an see what they say I should do I don't have an apt for another 3 wks.an I am over weight I was before I got pregnant so I think that may have alot to do with it as well
At 12 weeks my midwife warned me that it's sometimes difficult to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler. She.told me before trying not to be upset if we didn't hear it. So, maybe just wait till your next appointment?
I would be concerned but not stressed because it could also be your weight or the position of the baby. Its still small in a big area. I know its easier said than done.
Well to me personally I feel she tried to long. My doctor did not use the fetal Doppler until I was 14 weeks. If you feel like something is wrong go to your ob itself or er and see if they will do an ultrasound. She did not find it at all? Oh and I check my own pulse rate and I can tell the difference between mine and baby. Maybe you should try that too.
No not really she tryed for about 30 mins like she was concerned her self but wasn't saying it. Then she had mentioned something about if I had a tilted uterus and I told her not that I was aware
If she tried to use a fetal Doppler sometimes it's hard to hear. Did sheraise a concern to you
