Gave up on attempting a VBAC and scheduled my C section.

I have decided today that I am just going to give up on the idea of a natural birth ad have a c section. My whole pregnancy I dreamed of having a successful VBAC but it seems like my body is not meant to push a baby out. I have had constant painful contractions the past week and my cervix is still high and closed tight. I am terrified of abother c section but i cant imagine going over my due date and not being able to dialate during labor. Any already moms out there that have had two c sections? If so was the second a better experiencr than the first?

I have had a second c section and 19 days way from my 3rd. My second one was not bad just the recovery was a little longer. But no worries ladies you all will do great. Once you get to see that new baby every bit of pain and anxiety is all worth it!

Had my second c section on the 28th of Aug. I considered a vbac but after my last experience and with the same complications happening again from 35 weeks we just decided a csection was the best option for us. It was a completely different experience. Calm and so straight forward. Great sleep the night before, walked into theatre, joked about being hungry with the amazing medical team and a healthy baby. I also had a great recovery. If my previous baby had been breech or large then I would have certainly tried for a vbac but I'm really happy with our outcome. Good luck with your birth!

Im doing the vbac it has it pros and cons but I trust on God everything will come out fine I'm 36 weeks and my doc set up my app at 38 weeks to check if Im dialating if not she will schedule me for c sec. So I wont be risking the baby or my self so I hope I do just fine

Same here.  I'm 33 weeks but they told me they can't give any medicine to induce labor or medicine for pain.. I would just hate to go through all that and end up having a csection after all that.. so baby will be here by c section. This will be my second as well.

I'm in the same boat! Due 1.23.15 and will be having my 2nd csection. Dr. Said vbac is possible but if scar tissue ruptures, it could be detrimental to baby.  Good choice! And good luck!
