Gender reveal party
I had my ultrasound yesterday and told the tech to write down the as bc I'm having a gender reveal party on Saturday! Well in one of the pics it looks like you can see its a boy but then it could be a girl! I wish I could upload the pic to show everyone to get your alls ideas.. But I uploaded the pics on fb and now everyone is telling me they know its a boy which is frustrating bc I want to wait til Saturday and I'm also hoping for a girl!
Thank you everyone! I cannot wait til Saturday!! Either way ill be happy! We are putting either pink or blue balloons in a box then when I open which ever color it is determines the gender.. Can't wait!!
Im sorry, but I dont see what a gender reveal party has to do with the whole abortion thing. I find it dissappointing that someone can socaiate the two things together! Techs refusing to tell what gender your having has nothing to do with what you do with the info if your fortunate to find out. I think that comment is disgusting!
On the other hand, I think is a brill idea for a gender party! Theres nothing better than celebrating the fact your having a baby, boy or girl.

Lol you tell her!! I highly doubt they dont tell you the sex because people in america have gender reveal parties!!!! Bahahahahaha thats the craziest thing for you to try and hold her responsible for! Lmao that was pretty hilarious, thanks for that laugh. Sorry YOU are having a hard time finding out the gender but dont get on this womans pist and blame her because you are healous she can. And to the original poster, like someone already said, I would just take the peoples opinions who said boy as their guess (since we know EVERYONE is always guessing whats in our bellies!) I'm sorry you can't find out the sex of your baby but how does having a gender reveal party change anything? If the ultrasound techs tell people and they have abortions that has nothing to do with having a gender reveal party.. It's just another way of finding out the sex.. No different than if the ultrasound tech told me!
How about not posting rude comments on my post? Everyone on this site is so nice then you have the select few people like you that just have to be negative and rude.. I'm having a gender reveal party bc my sister in law wants to throw me one and because this is my 2nd child and your only supposed to have one baby shower and plus its my baby and I can do whatever I want to celebrate being pregnant!!!
And I don't know anyone who's ever had a problem finding out either.
That's kinda funny cause I live in Alberta and with both of my pregnancies I have had no problem finding out the gender... And each tech I see confirms it.
Thats probably it. Like I said its very hard here to find out the sex the rule came in play over the last 5 years.
Yes that is very annoying that your not allowed to find out! I am glad the US allows us to find out as I hate the idea of a yellow and green for all the clothes if I didnt know. I dont like those colors one and a lil girl deserves some pink. My first two got their proper color clothes but everything else I did neutral so if/when I had more I could reuse. We werent going to find out this time but we had donated everything not planning to have more and I really wanted to have gender appropriate bedding this time...clothes wise I had hand me down for both sexes.
I think its horrible when people care so much about gender that they would get an abortion!! Every baby is a blessing and I bet if they had waited to see baby they would never give baby up. My sister had lived in Canada until 2 years ago when her husband got a job here. She didnt get pregnant until she was here but she mentioned something about ultrasounds because of those problems. I thought she had said she could pay for an ultrasound herself to find out...but maybe she meant she could come to the US and do that if she got pregnant there.

July 2 moma that is a great idea. If I had the option I would do the same as a baby shower. Have fun with it. Sorry if im a bit of a downer Im sure you could understand how it feels not being alowed to know what the sex of you baby is because of other people. I for no reason ment to be personal about my coments I guess my pregnancy hormones are hitting me harder then I realized. Lol
KristiGG, thats just the thing no tecs will give out that info at the ultrasound because of these big deals on the sex of the baby. Its disapointing that people make it into such a big deal that others can not know what they are having before the baby is born. It definitely makes it harder to get ready for you baby when you are not aloud to know the sex because of these big deals.

The reason we decided to do the reveal party is so that we don't have people saying why did .............know before me. This way everyone who wants to know and can make it will all know at the same time. We have told all our guests that there are no presents need and that there will be a baby shower held on a later date.

I am sorry people are ruining your reveal! Just take it as their guess and wait and see at the party. They aren't techs so it would be easy for them to be wrong. :-) Try to still have fun with it!
We had a tech write ours down and we went shopping for boy and girl clothes and had sales ppl sale us the right ones and place them in a chest we made with our 2 and 4 yr old. We then opened it Christmas morning! It was so fun and special. It was nice doing it differently than with our others.
SaSs I am sorry but what is any different from a reveal party and finding out at the actual ultrasound. The party is for fun and making it special that is all. Idont think she cares which it is. She is just upset her friends r ruining the suprise for her possibly.

Why are you even having a gender reveal party? That is what baby shower s are for. On top of which, no one know for 100% until baby arives. I am sad to see this post as it is people like you that have made it hard to find out the sex of our babies now a days. The tecs and their bord he in AB Canada have passed a rule that they will not give gender info out as there are too many people obsessed with the sex of the baby. To the point of aborting the baby if its not what they want. If you are lucky here you will find a teck that will tell.

Why didn't you crop that part out then? Or not upload it to FB until after the party? Can you still take the picture down, crop it then repost?
