Paragard or Mirena?

Hi. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and am thinking of getting an IUD implanted 10 weeks after delivery. I generally have fairly normal period with moderate bleeding and pain. I plan to breastfeed my baby and I have heard some cases where the Mirena (hormonal iud) sometimes reduces milk production. Has anyone else experienced this? What disadvantages did you observe with mirena (hormonal) and paragard (copper)? Thanks!

I absolutely hated the mirena. It hurt so much. Being intimate with my husband after I had it implanted was almost impossible. If he went to deep he would hit the wires hurting him and I. It killed my sex drive and I gained forty pounds with it. I had it removed after a year and finally started feeling like myself again.

I'm not at all a fan of hormones, so Mirena isn't an option in my opinion. I had a very good experience with Paragard prior to my first child and I'm planning on getting it after this baby is here. I had no issues with it and thought it was really simple and easy.
