belly button piercing

Have any of you ladies that had your belly buttons pierced rip?  I had my belly button pierced for close to 10 years. When I hit about 23 I decided I was way too old and took it out lol, but the little holes remained, my stomach was tight and toned before pregnancy, I'm almost 32 weeks and it literally looks like it could rip open at anytime.  :-/ has anyone had it a actually rip ?

Ohh good to know rosealie23! Mine looks like a stretch mark, its so tight looking. I don't have any other marks so it might just be a scar :/

Mine didn't get all gross looking afterwards but it was a daily freakout for me lol I would look at it and b like 'omg it's so going to tear'. I'm still shocked it didn't but now I know it's a very real (and very icky) possibility. The price we pay for thinking we're cute with our jewelry and then BAM. Baby. I'm just glad I didn't get a belly tattoo lmao there would b no coming back from that disaster.

I had mine double pierced but I took them out because it seemed immature for a 28yr old pregnant chick to have a belly button piercing still :P

I replaced it with a plastic tube,  same as last pregnancy.  Things returned to normal for me :)

I took my mine out a few years ago. The hole is healed up, but it's just one big scar now :/ I'm 22 weeks and the scar is really tight and all shiny looking... not cute. I'm wondering how it will look by the time I'm full term...

Yea, I was wondering how it would look after baby, luckily my holes were very very small and pretty much closed up. I thought I'd ask here BC I was afraid to Google :(

Yikes!! Im paying close attention to that area when I moisturize. You can't even tell it was ever pierced, that's how tight my skin in right there (not to mention I have an umbilical hernia, so my belly button has had its own transformation during my pregnancy lol) I don't understand how some women/girls manage to keep their button pierced with jewelry in all throughout

I used to have one when I was18 so its been closed for years. Now 30 pregnant, first time. 25wks now and its starting to look like its stretch to the max and I still have a ways to go. Am super nervous about whats going to happen in that area. So I have a ob appt on wen, am going to discuss it with her see what she say. But I feel the same way as you:( scared it will rip...

I've had a piercing since I was 18 (30 now) and I was scared of the same thing with my one year old. The doc warned me that it is possible but mine didn't so.... I religiously used vE lotion and oil, especially on that area so that may've helped it not tear. I'm at 20wks and mine is already looking like it wants to this time around lol I'm digging out that lotion, that's for sure lol
