best time for glucose tolerance test?

hi ladies,

my glucose test was scheduled for when I'm 28 weeks. since am not here between 22 and 32 weeks, my midwife at the NHS here in the UK recommended that I have it done when I return - at 32 weeks, rather than before I leave - at 22 weeks. she insisted it's more conclusive that way.

what do you think?  when did you get yours done?

The exception. Is usually high risk mamas & other abnormalities or very rapid weight gain early on.

22 weeks would mean you'd have to take it again later because things change and the results would be different. Generally, at least at my OB's office, they schedule it between 27-32 weeks.

But i was goiiing to say that ive heard of women who had suger in their urine early in pregnancy so they were tested before 30 weeks but if everything is okay they usually do it around 30 weeks!

Yeah, my sister in law works in the lab and said almost the same thing. "As long as you aren't downing mountain dew,, you'll be fine."

Im 23 +3 and got my lab slip yesterday.  People at the lab told me to go in the lab in the morning whem you have not had anything sweet to eat. I decided to go have it done tomorrow before breakfast. The lab guy said dont come in here sucking on a crispy cream and a 44oz mt dew or you will fail..lmfao!! His joke made me laugh! hahaha
