beta testing 37 weeks

Beta testing my test results were positive I have some type of infection that can possibly kill my baby the doctor told me that I would have to be on a penicillin IV during labor has anyone else gone through this

You test positive for group B strep, which is commonly found in women...harmless to mom, but can cause issues with baby. They will give you an antibiotic right before delivery to safe guard the baby. You both will be fine...don't stress yourself.

It is very common and usually they will give you antibiotics before labor and then iv during just to be sure baby is going to be ok

Some kind of infection is vague, I has group b strep that I needed to be on antibiotics for with my last pregnancy, but my on gun never said it could kill my ba y just that it was harmful. Never had an issue had a c section because my first was a classical incision.
