I got it as soon as I hit 13 weeks :( I'm just putting up with it now as I know it'll get worse in 3rd trimester and don't want to be on meds for too long...

Jesshat, ur pregnancies sound like they permanently damaged your stomach and osaphagus. This happened to my mum. Go check out a gastro- doc when you are done with having lil ppl. They should be able to help.
Sherbear- I got it in the middle of the second tri and its not looking like going away- im 32w. Milk I find helps, ant acid tablets, no spice, chocolate, not too much fat. But even a very healthy stir fry can bug it if I eat a regular sized meal. I've been eating and then setting it aside for an hour and eating the other half. Doesn't stop it completely but it helps.

Thw only issue I have had during my pregnancy has been the acid reflux. Its horrible I only habe approximately 3 days left but since the second trimester I have had it and it only got worse as I went further along.  I just try to drink plenty of water and keep a cold water bottle right next to me at night when I wake up in the middle of the night, which has helped me a bit. I never tried anything else but that relieved it a bit.

I had it for both of mine and it went away right after birth. I took omeprazole with my second and that made it much easier. Antacids helped a bit. This is my third and I still have it, but I don't notice it unless I don't take my pill at night.

I am 38+ and i have  had acid reflux since my second  trimester. I spoke to my doctor who recommended  gaviscon. But the thing which has helped  me  a lot is changing  my diet habits. I tend not  to  eat heavy meals after 6pm. I completely  avoid fizzy drinks becoz they give you  gas and i have cut down on fatty foods and limit my spicy intake.i drink a lot of water though.

I had acid reflux most of my first trimester. I had it in the beginning of my second trimester then got a little break from it. Now that I'm in the third trimester its back and its strong. It definitely hasn't been pleasent. Hope yours goes away. Good Luck!

I'm 36 weeks on Saturday and I've had horrible acid reflux this whole last trimester.  Its gotten slightly better since he has started to drop.  Its terrible!!  I had it with my first son too and he came out with a full head of hair which I love so I'm hoping the old wives tale is true and this one is the same!  How far are you and when did your AR start?  Good luck!
