big baby? 32 weeks almost 5 pounds

So I had a sonogram today I'm 32 weeks and my baby boy weights 4pounds 15oz. Im wondering if this means he's bigger than we thought or if its normal... I'm  really hoping to give birth before my due date!

At 34+5 days mine was 6 pounds

Marieangelie: in case of macrosomia (big baby) they normally send you to have another ultrasound at 37/39 weeks to check the growth process!!! Sometimes babies at the end they start gaining weight slower and go according with the weight. Normally the tech will give you an inform according with the baby size wich you have to pass to MW and she will ask you for an out of protocol ultrasound. Everything will be great!!!

Im due on the 27th! ^-^ thank you ladies! Maybe he's  not that big after all! Though the sonogram tech told me his femur mesured the size of a 34 week old baby! So we'll see what the Dr says.

I should add, my csections had nothing to do with size. If I'd been well enough I would have been induced closer to full term.

At 31+6 mine was 4lbs13oz and in the 83rd percentile. My first was born at 35wks via csection and was 7lbs2oz so I'm thinking one will be a little smaller when I deliver via csection at 36wks. I just have big healthy babies :)

Maybe it could be off during my second pregnancy I had my daughter at 30 weeks and she was only 2lbs.  And with my first pregnancy I had my daughter at 39 weeks and she was 5lbs.. are those sonogram accurate when it comes to weight..

My baby girl at 33 was 6 lbs and at 99% percentil of the growth scale!!! I think your baby is doing fine :-D, my youngest was born at 9 lbs 6oz and 22" long, so don't worry mama he will be great!!!

I'm 32 weeks and my ultrasound yesterday said my boy was 3 11. But my baby is small and less then 10 percentile. But they wanna take him a week early. I think.it all depends on the Dr and what they believe is best for you and the baby. I have no clue. They are the ones with the degree so I just got with the flow.
