birth story! -induction

I was scheduled to be induced on 11/29 at 36wks due to a pregnancy complication called cholestatsis. A condition that can cause stillbirth. We were scheduled to come in at 730am so we stopped at a restaurant and had a nice breakfast and went to the hospital. They checked me right away and i was 3cm dilated. The doctor gave me the choice to start pitocin or have her break my water and see if i could start labor on my own. Well i chose to have her break my water but she couldn't quite reach. So they started pitocin at 9am. I didnt start feeling contractions until 1130am. They got pretty strong and close, then all of a sudden i couldnt feel them anymore. Even though i was still having them. The doctor came back in around 1pm i was at 4cm and she was finally was able to break my water. Contractions came strong and hard immediately after that.  Within 30min i was ready for the epidural. At my hospital you can get it whenever you want. Whenever you cant take the pain anymore. They gave me the epidural, he missed a few times and it was frustrating but he eventually got it. By this time it was 3pm. I wasnt as numb as i was with my first delivery but i couldnt feel contractions  anymore. But i felt sick afterwards and threw up but i felt fine immediately after. I think its because i was drinking gatorade. My nurse said i could eat and drink whatever i wanted. But she said she has more of midwife views so thats probably why. I loved her though! I felt pretty out of it and got sick after i drank anything. The epidural makes me sooo thirsty! By 4pm i was feeling contractions and pressure. She checked and i was at a 10! We did a couple practice pushes and doctor came in. I began pushing at 430 i got sick again while pushing, not fun. But i probably pushed less than 10 times and my son Jaxson Robert was born! He came out peeing and peed all over everyone! Lol. We had about 10 doctors and nurses because he was a preemie. But he was perfect born at 5:05pm 7.2lbs and 20.5in. No problems at all. Had him Saturday we were able to go home on monday. He was circumcised that thursday and we are both doing great. Oh i only tore a tiny bit needing one stitch. I had barely any pain. My lil guy is already 11 days old hard to believe his due date is still 15 days away on Christmas day. Best early Christmas gift ever. My 1.5yr old daughter is slowly getting used to him. She bawls like a baby whenever he cries lol. Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy ladies!
