bleeding gums

Hi, every morning and every night when I brush my teeth, my gums bleed. What do you guys do to help it. I've mentioned it to my doctor several times but he isn't concerned. Also do you use alcohol free mouth wash or with alcohol?

My Dr said it's normal during pregnancy. I absolutely hate it. I'm going to try the whole baking soda thing.

If your gums bleed you need to floss more frequently.  Maybe do twice a day until it goes away. Plain baking soda and water will be much mp re effective than any toothpaste :) It doesn't matter which kind of mouthwash but definitely get one. I like to brush, floss & swish miuthwash. I do that twice a day and I always get compliments from my dentist on my teeth :) Good luck!

You can use the baking soda just by its self just add a bit of water to make it like a paste back in the day like way back thats all thy had to use so the baking soda toothpaste may work but u may get better results from just bakingsoda and water

Thank you, I bought all kinds of toothpastes, but nothing is working.  I will definitely try the baking soda toothpaste and see how it goes.

I'm a dental assistant, an in 32+2 pregnant, i have been using baking soda paste to brush my teeth my hole pregnancy. It is very salty but prevents the gingivitis an some ladies get gingivitis when pregnant its mostly to do with chemicals in the body changing, I also do not use any mouth wash an I floss before i brush.
If is very salty so don't swallow it. Its just an idea for you buy if u notice baking soda is the most commin ingredients in tooth paste. It also give you a bit whiter teeth after a while an I notice my teeth stay smoother a lot longer then when I use toothpaste
Hope i was of some help ;)
