blood thinner and induction?

So, I'm due in September but I have to take lovenox shots for  large blood clots in my lungs. Today my doctor decided that I will be induced when the time comes, so that the situation can be controlled.
Has anyone dealt with this situation?

I didn't know there were other moms like me, in the sense of having to take the lovenox shots. I just thought it wasn't very common. Well I'm 18 wks this is my third but the first pregnancy I've had to use blood thinner due to clots in my lungs and my leg calf. However,  Dr hasn't planned for delivery yet. He did mention it was just as a precaution and if nothing developed thru the pregnancy my delivery could be as my other two. Keeping my fingers crossed, c sections are scary to me (never had one). Best wishes to each of us ;)

I'm on Lovenox also. Not sure the birth plan yet. I'm only 14 weeks. I have to take until 6week's after. Shots only hurt when I'm not at a full 90* angle or pushing it through too fast. Good luck ladies!

I Have To Use Lovonox Injections Due To A Clotting Disorder When Pregnant Then 6Weeks After. I Was Induced With My Daughter And They Had Me Stop Taking MY Baby Aspirin A Week Before Induction And Stop The Lovonox A Day Before Induction Then Start It The Next Day For 6Weeks After. I am currently 25 weeks and have been on Lovenox since week 6. I have a blood clotting problem. I will have a csection at 36 weeks but that is due to other health problems. I will have to have those stupid leg vacuun things while in hospital to keep circulation. I hate those things very loud and you can't move. Plus will have to continue Lovenox for 8 weeks after birth. Shots hurt bad but ice pack on injection site helps afterwards and dont let go of pinch for a minute after you finish injection. Good luck

I haven't personally dealt with it but a close friend had to give herself blood thinner shots in her belly throughout her whole pregnancy. Her doctor decided that a scheduled c-section was the best choice for her so that they could be in control of the situation. She hated it but she did want she had to do for the pregnancy.
