brEast feeders who need a pump.

Just an fyi: make sure you check with your insurance company to see if they cover a pump. My insurance company (aetna) covers a pump 100% if you use one of their suppliers. If you upgrade, you will still pay less then you do in the store. I upgraded my free pump to a Medela back pack. This pump goes for $269 at toys r us. I got it for $83. Just trying to help you save money :)

With my insurance, they said it is convered fully if I use someone in network.  The two options I had were the Medela (not the full kit with the cool bag but like a starter set) or the Ameda (with all the extras).  I ordered mine, but they said they can't process the order until I deliver but it will be fully covered.  I use Highmark.

If I can find the link, I'll post it to a website that allows you to put in your insurance provider and it will tell you whether or not they will cover or decrease the amount of a pump. I had it saved on my phone, but not my computer. I'll have to look it up again.

Not mine. I called and they said only if the baby is premature. So if anyone has Tricare Prime they dont cover a breast pump unless you have a premature baby. Even then you have to have a doctors note saying it was a premie and that you need to milk your self.

ALL insurances are required to cover breast pumps because of the affordable care act. How amazing is that?! You are right if you want a specific brand they may not cover it but you still should get a discount!
