2 hr fasting gd test tomorrow. . nervous :/

I have to do my 2 hr fasting test tomorrow.  Did anyone do the 2 hr test or did everyone just do the 3 hr test after failing the 1 hr? Is the 2 hr a Canada thing?

I only failed my 1 hr by .1 but I'm still very nervous. . Plus sitting there for 2 hrs,  getting blood drawn 3 times (my veins sometimes don't cooperate) and not eating anything for that long in the morning is going to s uck!!!! Anyone That did the 2 hr or 3 hr. . How was it? Did it s uck as much as I think it's going too?

Novembermommy~ Thanks I hope it goes well. I'll Have to jug lots of water before I go so my veins will be Ok.  I'm nervous but I just want to get it done and over with.

Oh jeez! I hope I don't have to do that.
The fasting part is not bad at all, I thought it would be but I had an egg on toast with swiss and a sliced tomato for breakfast and that kept me full. I wasn't even starving after like I thought I would be.
I hear ya on the veins, but I just drank ALOT of water before my appointment, and during my wait, it wasn't too bad. Hope all goes well!

I failed my 1hr as well by a bit. I didn't have to do a 2hr... I did the 3hr. I didn't die but it wasn't a piece of cake either. The drink was 100g (terrible) I thought the 50g wasn't too bad. And I fasted like 12 hrs before and blood drawn 4times. I was a mess at the end...tired, shaky, the works! The worst part is actually waiting in between blood collections not being able to move around much or drink water or anything. I got to go to a lounge where I slept in a recliner with a timer in between hours so I was at least somewhat comfortable. Good luck!!!!

You didn't?  Crazy lol.  My first one was my 1 hr. I guess everywhere does it differently.

Well my doctor said they take your blood before the drink then at the one hour and another at the 2 hour.  Hope you pass! :)

Oh no girl! You'll be fine :) I actually just had mine yesterday :) it was actuallyy first one, I wasn't one any diet restrictions, I ate completely normal and then fasted for 2 hours before. At breakfast at 8:30, and then went in at 10:30,  left a urine sample, then drank the lemon lime glucose and hady blood drawn an hour later... why do they draw yours 3 times? Ive only heard on that for the 3 hour one?
I get my results today :)
