Hi ladies,I'm planing on breastfeeding my baby for as long as the baby wants it and was looking at breast pumps I was gona buy tommy tippee manual one but I read some bad reviews. the Phillips avent 1 is getting good reviews and the Mam manull pump.so for mums who used manual pump which would u recommend.I'm not planing on pumping milk much just when going out,which won't be everyday.xx

Oh realy where in Ireland.they bit expensive so I wana make the most of the sale so I want that's not gona stop functioning

Oh hey, I used to live in Ireland!

I used a manual pump,both babies. Like yourself I wasnt going to be pumping often. Just when I went out....and only places where feeding on the breast wasnt easy. My friends and familys houses...Id just use a blanket or cloak. So the price of an electric pump was just too much for such little use. Also I found the electric pumps pinched a little. So the manual pump allowed me to pump at my own pace.
Brand didnt make much difference either time...
So I plan to get another one this time!

You may want to check with your insurance company first because if you're in the US you should be able to get a free or rental electric pump. Even if you're not going to pump that often at least that will save you money and time.

I used the Medela Harmony Manual Pump and LOVED it. I will be buying another one this time.
