If you want to produce more milk there are lactation cookies. :) Here's a link to a recipe and more info on these bad boys. www.bellybelly.com.au/breastfeeding/lactation-cookies

Be careful with breast sheilds, they can eventually decrease your supply too. It's much better stimulation to have baby directly on your breast.

I honest strictly pumped because my kids haven't been able to latch on. Eating healthy drinking a lot of milk and pumping every two hours for 25-30 min did the trick for me.  I breastfed them for a year and a year and some months.

Also try putting lanolin on ur nipples after nursing and before pumping. It helps me a lot. The cramping is normal its your urerus shrinking back to its normal size the breastfeeding stimulates it.the soreness will go away just takes some time. I have been pumping since my baby girl was 4 days old and I have 50+ bags of milk in the deep freeze already. She is 5 weeks old now. I pump what ever side she didn't eat on. They have this pill you can take to increase ur supply call finogreak seed I think I totally jacked up the spelling of it but it works.best of luck and I hope things get better for u.

I had horrible pain and use a nipple shield its amazing my nipples don't hurt anymore so I am going to keep using it. People say its hard to stop using because they have a harder time latching on to the nipple but it hurt way to bad and my nipples were bleeding.  Since I have used the shield I have had no pain.  It kind of ***** carrying it around but I think it worth it

Sorry I could never pump enough milk for my kids(I have nursed 4) it just doesn't stimulate my milk production . I would get help from a lactation nurse if breastfeeding I'd very important for you. For me breastfeedibg was very painful foe the first 4 wks(I would almost scream it hurt that bad) but it gradually stopped and wasn't an issue anymore.  I got gel pads to help with he pain after nurse(they were awesome and I lifesaver) and my last child cracked my nipples. I never use the breast shields to nurse but know some have.  I would say if your milk is dropping just pumping might not bring it back or increase it.  I promise you if you stick it out it will get easier especially after 3 months but you need a breastfeeding support team. So find other moms that have had trouble and stuck with it and get a good lacation nurse sometime you have to try a few.  That is only if you really want to continue.  But down the line if you choice not to breastfeed don't beat yourself up about it.  It not easy the baby has to learn too.  Good luck.

It's much netter for your supply to feed baby from your breast, your supply will decrease pretty rapidly if you exclusively pump, nothing can drain your breast better then baby. Maybe try meeting with a lactation consultant to see if your baby has a good latch, you can really damage your nipples if she doesn't which makes feeding almost impossible. Things will get better you just have to tell yourself you can do it. It's not easy, but you can do it you are making such an awesome sacrifice for your baby. Hang in there mama!

Just keep breastfeeding ur baby and make sure she's latching on correctly.  Ur milk production will level out according to baby's needs.  If baby isn't still hungry then she getting enough milk.  Keep pumping in between and also u can try drinking tea for ur milk at the vitamin store, and oatmeal may help as well.  Goodluck.
