breastmilk to formula

Any advice on what formula to use when switching from breastmilk? I'm going to gradually introduce it. Just nervous as to which formula is thinner like breastmilk. Thank you.

Thank you! My plan was definitely to mix breastmilk with formula at first. But I'm happy to hear from other moms about what to use. (: tried giving her a bottle of straight newborn Enfamil and I think it was too thick for her. She spit it up and choked. I felt awful and haven't tried another brand since.

I agree with the formula for sensitive stomachs  but also wanted to add that when I switched both of my daughters i would always mix the formula  with breastmilk like half and half at first then slowly add more formula over a few weeks time to see how they handle it. That seemed to work best for mine since they didn't want to take the formula at first.

With both my boys I went from breast to the Walmart generic Enfamil in the yellow container. Great price and neither had problems with spitting up. But all babies are different.

I used Enfamil gentle ease to begin with, but I liked the Similac sensitive as well. Those were the 2 brands my doctor recommended. I think whichever brand you go with, you should start with something made to be gentle on the tummy. Gerber also makes a  sensitive one, but I didn't think it mixed as well and my little boy couldn't get used to it. It's a lot cheaper though as I recall and your baby might do fine with it.

Goats milk is really comparable to breastmilk honestly I don't like formula it stinks and makes babies throw up more and stains. Goats milk is natural and a little more expensive if you can find it.
