burning down there while on antibiotics

Hey you all.. On Thursday I went to the doctor because of a lower back ache she  tested urine and said that I might have a UTI and put me on antibiotics and also sent my urine off for a culture. Now Ion day 3 of meds I have a burning sensation down there just standing or sitting. Now I know its not std because I was tested for all that from the start and me and hubby haven't had sex at all since he's been away for work for weeks. Should I demand a pap smear be done or wait out the last 4 days of antibiotics? I don't know why I have this burning feeling and it's so irritating. IBefore the meds I was having yellow discharge and the doc said keep an eye on it and said discharge changes a lot during pregnancy. Sometimes I feel itchy but its more random not constant. I just don't know what this could be. She said I has lukeocytes in my urine which present white blood cells fighting an infection which is why she gave me antibiotics and now this. Anyone have input I can't message doc til the morninge

Thx ladies. Urine culture came back everything was negative except for lukeocytes which we already knew about. My back ache is still occruing and I have 3 days of meds left so idk if lower back ache for 2 weeks now is normal or if something else is up. I emailed doctor this evening with my current symptoms and askednif I should come in or wait til appointment next week.

You may be allergic to the medicine i had the same issue and once they switched me to a new med i felt better.

I would just keep my dr very updated as well as to any new symptoms or changes and maybe even demand further testing. Having an infection while pregnant can be scary enough but not really being 100% sure whats going on can even be worse. Dont be afraid to follow your gut its your body and your baby that you need to protect and keep both healthy! I hope you get some answers soon!!

I know the last time I was on antibiotics I got inflammation down there too. It wasn't an infection just irratated, it is even listed as a side effect. It stopped right when I stopped taking the antibiotics. But with the discharge i would ask the doctor.

Sounds like thrush yeast infection to me...certain antibiotics give me severe thrush to the point where it just constantly burns to do anything as well as being swollen. Have you had these certain meds before? Because if it's a new type for you that could be the cause of your unfortunate pain.

Thanks ladies. I think it might be too. I'm going to email my doctor and see if she thinks I should start a Y.I treatment. I feel like my ladynparts can't catch a break anymore

Yeast infections can make it feel itchy dry and burning and even cracked skin can be caused by all that.

I would think it's a yeast infection too for sure. I get them while on antibiotics too. Antibiotics kill off any bacteria in your body good or bad and there's a good bacteria in vaginas to keep them healthy and the antibiotics removed the good bacteria. Check with your dr to see if you can use a yeast infection otc treatment. And eat you yogurt to boost the good bacteria naturally
