When I gave birth to my son, it was horrible. He was born in what they call a brow presentation which means he was born looking up with the back of his head literally scraping against the back of my spine. (Normally, the baby is born looking down and it's easier for the baby to come out and exponentially less painful for the mother.) It took almost 12 hours for me to push him out and at one point they gave me and choice about whether I wanted a c section. I said no and just kept pushing. After he was born, they told me that his heart beat was dropping and we almost lost him so it's a good thing I finally got him out. If the same happens this time, I already you'd my husband I'll have a c sect with no second thought. That being said, I would only do it if my life or my child's life is threatened, I would never do it out if convenience.

I agree I have 4 children and pregnant with my last. First two vaginal second two unfortunately c sections. Tried for a VBAC after first c section and couldnt. First c section ripped back open 2 weeks after and was herniated and that scar is bad looking and up n down due to emergency c section. Second c section was perfect as in the procedure. But it took the whole six weeks to START to feel better no joke. Slept sitting up cause I couldn't lay down. Hurts soooo bad to sneeze, cough, laugh and use the bathroom...with my vaginal births i was up walking around in a couple days and feeling great! Hope this helps you.

Vaginal birth faster recover no scar on your tummy  you won't be in hospital as long less meds that end up on baby. Your baby gets the benefit of being colonized by your bacteria. Your milk will come faster.  Should I keep going???? It just better if you can.

If you can have the baby naturally the doctor will not allow you to have a c-section.. at least I don't think they will let you have a c-section if you absolutely don't need one

I don't understand why someone who is able to give birth naturally would want a c section. I am a bit bias give me a natural homebirth any day.
