I've had 2 csections and was allowed to drive after 2 weeks or strong pain relievers were no longer needed
i had an emergency section 10 1/2 weeks ago and I'm pretty much back to normal. I wasn't allowed to drive for 6 weeks, I was in hospital for three days, the first week was an absolute killer I couldn't do anything myself as it hurt to walk, bend etc etc etc. I pretty much lay on the couch and breastfed baby, BD did the cooking and washing and tidying up and my MIL and my Mum took all the ironing away and brought in food wtc. You need to make sure you take care of your wound - clean it at least twice a day with cool boiled water and cotton wool, and leave it to air off for a good 10-20 mins a couple times a day to let the air get to it so it heals better - keeping it covered up (even by your stomach cause you will probably have the unsightly overhang of the remnants of the baby bump) will make it sweaty and lets bacteria fester and can cause an infection. I got one but only cause my staples were removed too early (stupid health visitor) and some of my wound wouldn't close x
I.didn't have twins but I.did.have .a section. My drs cleared me to drive at 8 wks I believe
Thank you! I had my other 2 daughters vaginally so was just a little nervous as to whatbto expect. She told me I would haveva spinal also.
Ok I had twin at 38 weeks by c section. It wasnt back but I must say it take longer for your body to recover. And the best people that can advice you how soon u will be able to drive is your doctor. As long as all goes well you should be ok.
