11 wks and 6 days

I spotted but it was a light pink. I went to the hospital and they couldnt find a heartbeat.... the doctor on call said that it is hard to find a heartbeat between 11-14 weeks. Is this true or is he just saying that to make me feel better?

If the baby is sitting near any of your major blood vessels you will not be able to her the heatbeat. We Usally do not use the Doppler till 14 weeks at the birthing center so we do not freak out the mommas.

It is probably to early to find it with a doppler...for me they couldn't find it at 12 weeks but did an ultrasound and everything was good...I also get nervous as I have no pregnancy symptoms.  I finally heard the heartbeat at 17 weeks and it took a few minutes for the nurse to find both times I was told it was normal...I would get an ultrasound so you will at least be able to see the heart beating.

Mine was found with a doppler at 10 weeks however it was hard. My heartbeat was often what we heard. Why didnt they do an ultrasound? At my 12 week ultrasound a strong heartbeat was present...they could have calmed you :(

With a doppler or ultrasound?  I don't want to scare you but I saw and heard my daughters heartbeat by ultrasound at 8 weeks. Then at 12 weeks they couldn't hear it with a doppler but again found it by an ultrasound
