I don't drink coffee or coke every day. I try to alternate: one morning I'll have a cup of coffee, next day a coke with lunch, skip a day or 2, then coke or coffee, and so on. On days I don't have a coke or coffee I save my decaf tea for nightime to help me relax. One thing I've found that helps cravings for cokes is flavored carbonated water. Walmart and HEB have store brand bottles for like $0.50 each. No caffeine, no massive amounts of sugar. I still limit that to a glass a day though... I know a lot of carbonated drinks aren't good.
I have 1 coffee a day with soy milk for protien. I haven't touched a caffinated soda since I found out I was pregnant.
God I miss my coffee!! My last pregnancy my baby made me sick any time I smelt or took a sip of coffee. So I would dink ice caps. Ya I've still not been able to drink a cup of it. I used to drink it by the pot. Lol well baby is now 10 months old and Im expecting again and this time I cant drink any hot drinks or cold coffee either. Bah! Whaaaa!! I miss my coffee
I try to stick with decaf, but if it isn't available then i'll have caffeine. But like everyone is saying, moderation is the key.
I think chocolate has caffeine too. I do not eat chocolates though.
Im trying to avoid it as much as possible but today I had a sierra mist ... its still soda and probably not great for me but its caffeine free.
I keep lipton cold brew caffeine free tea in my fridge at all times cuz I luv my tea too something to try
I haven't had one sip. But I guess I'm the odd one out. Why would you put something into your body that your limited to?? Obviously it's bad for you when pregnant?!
Thank you all for the responses! I've been feeling guilty for drinking tea...but sounds like moderation is key. :)
I have one cup every morning. And maybe once a week I'll have a Starbucks latte in the afternoon. I'm not a soda drinker so that's all the caffeine I consume, really.
I drink sprite when we go out to eat but I rarely drink all of it. My norm is water and juice though.
I drink 1 to 2 cups a day and sometimes diet coke.
I drink one k - cup a day.
I drink a coffee a day and an occasional soda.
I drink the same as i did not pregnant with this and the last 3 pregnancies...everything in moderati
I stayed away from it pretty good at first then I started getting bad migraines and my doc told me drink a lil caffeine and that pretty much set the beast loose with dr pepper and occasionally coffe but no more than 200 mg a day thats what they say to limit it to in first trimester or it ups chance of miscarriage
Me. I have three other kids and a hubby who works on the road :-( so I wouldn't be able to survive some days without my Dr pepper boost lol. I stay with-in the safe limits though.
I drink a cup of tea daily but have to drink lots of water. A friend of myn said for every cup of tea I drink to double it up with water, but I only do one a day:)
A sip if any. I'm not a coffee person to begin with though.
I am addicted to caffeine but since I got pregnant I drink either a cup of coffee but very light or a can of coke a day my doctor said its fine
I try to avoid it, but my doc said a cup of coffee a day should be fine. I have also read a few articles that give approximate amounts that are safe to consume.
