when is a good time to put the car seat in yhe car? should i just put the base in and wait until i go to the hospital to put the actual car seat in ot should i put it all in at once??

Yah u can put carseat whenever u want. When I had my daughter I waited till 38weeks and just bought the carseat the same day, she decided to come to the world.

Our hospital makes you bring it and has you put it in in front of them so they make sure you know how. Can't leave the hospital with the baby til you do. I think it's a bit overkill when they make ppl take them out n put em back in if they already had it set up but that's just what they do..

With both my kids I put it with the hospital bags & took it with because here Dr has to inspect car seat & nurse has to go to car & inspect installation before your discharged.

You can put it in and bring it to the police station if youre a ftm. They'll inspect it and make sure its in correctly!

We waited until it was time for me and baby to come home. Dad put the seat in the car and came to get us. If u are concerned with installation the nurses will check it for u.. ( they did for me)

thanks ladies! i think I'm going to just put the base in and make sure everything fits and keepthe seat in the house. i just want to be prepared i only have 3 weeks left:)!

Im ready to poo here and mine still isnt hooked up. I have a tiny corolla and theres no need to take up space unessecarily until its time. Its just sitting in my husbands truck but we both have bases!

I'd go ahead and put the base in but leave the seat out so you can use it to carry baby. Also saves a few moments of getting the base in but you don't have to move the seat off and back on.
We'll be putting the whole mess in when going home because someone else has our seat ATM.

With our second baby, we got a whole new car seat combo. We tried putting it in about 37 weeks pregnant. I'm glad we did because it turned out the base didn't fit with the carseat in our car we had at the time. Just the car seat. It was a really tight fit. So we had to make adjustments. Lol

Most likely with this pregnancy, we'll be putting it in about  38 weeks.

Whenever you want to do it. Personally I wait and let daddy put it in when its time to come home from hospital because don't need it until then and it only takes a couple minutes to put in car.
