castor oil?

What does it do? I keep seeing women say they're gonna do it to help start labor. But how does it start labor?

And it can cause stress on the baby and they can have a bowel movement and willow the meconium. It's really not advised to do. My baby was 13 days late in the middle of summer and the thought never crossed my mind to try it. Personal opinion but I would ask your dr before you try out.

I haven't tried it but I considered it with my 1st it's mainly used as a laxative and it can help kick off labor because it stimulates the bowels but I'm pretty sure u need to be close naturally for it to actually help speed it along. I didn't try it beca I read it can cause dehydration & i needed all my energy for labor. Plus I stay away from anything with a possibility that'll make me sh*t myself
