It depends on the person. Its been known to cause the uncomfortable *****, not to mention it tastes horrid. Explosive diareah could cause dehydration and the baby can poop inside of you causing further complications

I tried it for a whole week. Taken some here and there with OJ. It does not work at all. The first day nothing happened. The second day I was running back and forth to the toilet. It's not worth it. I'd rather wait it out. Now that she's here I feel silly trying to drink oil to try and speed up things up

It can help bring on labour due to uncomfortable diarrhoea, sharp cramping and bowel spasms which can stimulate uterine contractions, but honestly, I'd rather just wait it out than begin labour like that!

Supposedly, it causes colon cramping, which stimulates your uterus and causes it to begin cramping in order to spawn labor. My mother tried it with all three of her kids, and I tried it several times with my first to no avail. The only thing that happened to me is I started puking. I wouldn't suggest it since its success rate is so low and you may just end up feeling very sick in the end.

My sister who is a midwife says it cleanses the system and helps with pooing before delivery, it has nothing to do with delivery.
