yeah they are painful I get em too. I just try to avoid stretching in the morning.
Its normal and apart of pregnancy. I was told to make sure I take my vitamins and drink milk. So now I drink a glass of milk or two a day and I no longer get leg cramps. Walking helps too.
this is more difficult to explain than it should be, but whenever I feel one starting, I immediately stretch my feet so that they are flat and my toes are pointing upward and a little toward my body and my heels are sticking out furthest. it stops the cramp immediately. I hope that made sense...
I do exactly what camerinj does and it works. I once pointed my toes away from me and the cramp came faster and stronger. If u point them towards u ot automatically goes away its wierd but it works.

Oh geez I hated those in my second pregnancy. I noticed it would happen at night only when o would stretch out my leg, the doctor told me I needed more calcium. HHopefully I don't get those this time around .
I use to get them but I drink more water now and milk I hv water on night stand I drink before I get up my doctor says its from being dehydrated.
When I get them in my calves I flex my foot to stretch my muscles and it eases the pain and the weakness that occurs afterwards
I had them earlier in my pregnancy and i just try and eat banana once few times per week.. Never had it happen again. Potassium from banana helps.
I use to get them a lot. When you stretch, flex your toes instead of pointing them. I don't get them anymore because of this method.
Runners trick is to drink pickle juice once a day. And it prevents them. Lol I know weird but it helps me and also I eat a lot of bananas and I haven't got any since. Also avoid stretching legs when half asleep.
Eat a banana right before bed works great for me
That is the worst feeling ever I started drinking warm milk and eating a bannana before bed so far it has worked for me hope it helps you as well
