As I hair dresser, I would never do a perm or relaxer on somebody who is pregnant. There are just too many unknowns with the amount of chemicals that are in them and especially where your pH  levels are so diff because of hormones you don't know what type of results you will end up with.  Osy people who color their hair, myself included(29 wks) have normal results. At least with color if it doesn't turn out correctly it is very easy to fix!wait until at least your first trine s term is over though to be safe

I wouldnt want to perm but colour is fine in a ventilated area. Becareful though Your hormones change your hair so it can be unpredictable.  Also there is usually biotin in prenatals which gets into your hair and reacts differently with different chemicals.

Yes all saloons are supposed to be well ventilated by law. Your chemical balance can be different so yea. Be careful when doing a chemical treatment because you may not get the exact results you want.

My Dr said I could color at 4 months but the thing is when your pregnant the color and perming results are very unpredictable because of your hormones your hair Changes so I chose just to take a break and spend this time getting my hair healthy and it's really worked but if you really want to risk it after 4 months your fine

Most doctors say it's safe in the second trimester as long as the area is ventilated.
