chiropractor during pregnancy?

I have never been to a chiropractor, quite honestly they freak me out. But I have been having so much back, hip, and sciatic pain that I am getting to the point I will try anything. My OB suggested massage therapy and if it doesn't work then I may need a realignment. Massages usually just give me temporary relief. Has anyone ever been to a chiropractor while pregnant? Its all in my lower back. How do they treat you when pregnant?

With my insurance I just pay a $30 visit fee and the rest is covered. You can call the chiro office and they should be able to tell you what would be out of pocket with your insurance.

I go to a chiropractor all the time when I'm pregnant it saves me. I had a hard time walking with my last pregnancy after a trip to my chiropractor I felt perfect

I went to massage therapy and it was wonderful. Didn't go to the chiropractor though. Don't do a normal spa formassage. Talk to a sports massage place or one thatcaters to those recovering from car accidents.

Yes! I go monthly to one that specializes in pregnancy. I was nervous at first to but my doc suggested it and it's helped a ton! They are able to do adjustments like normal and I get a massage as well, but now I'm to big to lay on my tummy so they just have you lay on your side with pillows and massage you that way. It's nice though to because my chiro is trained in a technique that can help get baby out of a breech position if that is a problem close to delivery.
