cholestasis in pregnancy

I have been having constant itching at night. Mainly on my feet :-/ I told my Dr this morning and have an appointment for a fasting blood draw tomorrow. Has anyone else experienced cholestasis during pregnancy?

My Dr told me to wait till I get the tests back :-/ she didn't even tell me how to fix the itching so I had to Google solutions. I don't want to have it but I too will be a little disappointed to have to wait to have my daughter lol the wait is killing me as much as the itchy feet.

Yeah, I just have the itchy feet. She just said there isn't really another explanation for it. I had my gallbladder removed too, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I forgot to ask. But I didn't have cholestatsis while pregnant with my daughter, but I did have gallstones. She also said the medicine will only help with the itching and wont hurt anything if the test turns out negative and same goes for the ultrasounds and dr appointments. She said better safe than sorry. Yeah I'm kind of getting used to the idea of induction, if it means getting this baby out sooner and safer. I may even be a little disappointed if the test is negative. Then I have to suffer until due date probably, especially if this itching doesnt stop! But either way I'm just hoping he is healthy

Yeah my feet drive me insane at night. Last night was the worst I even dreamt of my feet itching :-/ ugh... I haven't found anything to relieve it yet besides itching the heck out of myself then putting lotion with vitamin e oil on after. Inductions are scary but not terrible I was induced with my son cause he was way late so I have no clue what going into labor on my own feels like. I'm a little bummed I couldn't experience it with my daughter but I'm excited I might get to see her sooner. I'm due the 30th of December so I'm glad to possibly have her before Christmas :) I just wish I could easily sleep at night without being itchy :(. Why is you Dr so sure you have it? Do you have other symptoms or just the itchy feet?

Me! I'm waiting on my bloodwork to confirm but my doctor is pretty sure I have it and already started me on medication, 2x week ultrasounds and appointments. She is planning to induce at 37wks. Which is only 2wks away now! I cant take the itching! Its mainly at night and on my feet as well. I rub them on the carpet its the only way I get relief. The medicine doesnt really help. We havent even painted the nursery or set up anything! We are in panic mode going from 6wks left to only 3 and now 2. Everything else seems pretty normal though. I'm still working,  no restrictions or anything.  And as long as baby looks good on his ultrasounds doc said there isn't much to worry about until after 37wks, and she wont let me go that far. I'm still scared though, I've never had any complications with either of my pregnancies until now. I'm scared to be induced too. I went into labor on my own with my daughter. But I'm excited to meet my baby boy a little sooner than expected, and since I'm due on xmas I don't have to worry about spending xmas at the hospital. Have you found anyways to reduce the itching? It barely even bothers me during the day, but at night its like torture. I tried sarna cooling lotion and it helped enough so I could fall asleep. Didnt work on my feet but it helped on my legs, torso, back and arms.

It's a disease Where your liver and gall bladder dont process all the bile and so it goes into your blood stream which causes itching and sometimes jaundice. It's harmless to mom but can cause a still birth. The only cure in induction ASAP (well 37 weeks)
