I'm in Seattle too and was told it would be something like $300 and it's not something insurance usually covers.

Typical costs can range from $150 to as much as $400. I paid my OB $200 11 yrs ago for my son now I'll be paying my OB $400 for this baby boy. I dont believe insurance co cover it unless it's medically necessary...which is never.  So expect to pay out of pocket. Also find out if your OB can do it which may be the most expensive but it's done immediately after birth and easier on the baby and you.

My insurance says will cover it 100% if do it in hospital. If wait then we have to pay deductible or whatever out of pocket cost.

My insurance covered it 100 percent.  MOST insurance companies do cover it.  check with yours.  I'm sure they cover it.  good luck

From Ontario Canada.  One of the few things that our universal health care system does not cover. So i will be out of pocket!  Ours depends on the doctor doing it but mine is 350 cash only!

When my son was born four years ago we were quoted $400 out of pocket to have it done if we chose to do so. Insurance didn't cover it (for the same reasons mentioned above - cosmetic, elective) and the birthing center we delivered at didn't even offer it as an option but instead gave referrals to a nearby outpatient medical office. No idea what it would cost now but I'm sure prices have gone up in four years. It will all depend on the facility, the doctor, and the specific insurance coverage.

I paid 200 because my insurance didn't cover it.

Circumcision is an elective, cosmetic surgery. Unless it's being done for medical reasons (ie foreskin issues later in life), I don't know of any insurance companies that will cover it.

Insurance usually picks up the cost of this.  Double check but I doubt you'll notice an out of pocket expense if you have health insurance if you do it at the hospital.  good luck

I spoke with my Dr at swedish snd she said its cheapest if you have it before the baby discharges from the hospital. I think with my insurance it'd be 150$. (I'm in Seattle too)

My insurance is coving it. I called and asked because I didn't want to be blind sided with a big bill.

My insurance covered it with just my copay at our doctors office. I would call your insurance to see if they cover it or even partly cover it.

My clinic is giving us a $400 discount if we pay for it before the baby is born. So we will only pay $150 out of pocket. Our insurance does not cover it.

Insurance doesn't usually cover circumcision, you are typically on your own when paying for it. I would say expect to pay around 400 that's about what it cost for my first born, and we're with out a doubt doing it again. It's spendy but so worth it.

Also call the hospital/clinic where you'd get it done to get a price quote for the procedure. Then if insurance didn't cover it you'll know the cost

It all depends on your insurance.  Call them. They can tell you.
