BIG babies!

At my last us my baby was measuring 2 weeks ahead and the doctor said he was gonna be a big baby ... Has anyone else had a doctor tell them this? Were they right or wrong? I'm starting to get a little worried I don't want to have a really big baby ... I'm hoping to go in to labor a week or 2 early but I haven't had any signs of labor yet ... I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow

My last ultrasound was at 34 weeks ... I think they usually do one around that time to see how the baby is growing ... I got chked for diabetes 3 different times with this pregnancy and I don't have it so that can't be what's causing the baby to be big ... My first sin was 7.12 born at 38 weeks and my daughter was 7.5 born at 37 weeks ... I thinking they would have been pretty close to 9 if I would have went to my due date ... Hopefully this little man decides to come a little early too before he gets too big ... Lol ... For what I've been reading and you ladies comments seems like the estimates for weight at this time aren't very good :)

I was told by son was going to around 8 lbs. He was 9 lb 9 Oz a week after my due date. But big babies run in my family.  My grandma didn't have a baby under 9 lbs.

I was told mine would be around 9, he was a week late and 7lb 1oz. None of mine have been over 8 and I am on number 4. From sisters and friends and me I have noticed a woman tends to have similar weight babies. Mine got progressively smaller.

I as measuring ahead with my first by about a week, however I am diabetic and that can happen ( baby bigger than usual) ...at my last ultrasound they estimated him in the higher 8lb weight...he ended up being 9.2....induced a week early also due to being diabetic....prob would have been a 10lb.er.  they are just estimatiins....not always accurate
