Did any of your little ones come out hyper due to caffeine? I love sugar!  I dnt drink it everyday but I've been craving for it...im 25wks so i think chances of miscarriage are lower?

Good God... I hope not. I drank coffee every day. I did a lot of my own research and think it is fine. My daughter was ten and a half pounds if it does cause low birth weight I can't imagine what she would have weighed

I've heard (again, no reliable source) that it is thought to stunt growth...not sure. I've also heard it may be possible to cause miscarriages as well. I was a heavy coffee drinker before pregnancy, over 8 cups a day, but now it doesnt agree With me at all not even decaf...oh how I miss my coffee. :(

It is thought to.. they say low birth weight and it is linked to miscarriage, some just think miscarriage.. I drink coffee everyday and come from a family that drinks nothing but coffee all day. I try to cut back some while pregnant but I probably still drink more than most people during the day... I have never had any trouble, but all pregnancies are different and it may not be safe for everyone. I would give the advice that if you were a heavy coffee drinker than a couple of cups should not hurt, if you only drink one or two cups before pregnancy then I would say switch to decaf or half caf....  I don't think it does too much but it may depend on how much your body is use to having, whether it affects the baby or how it does so. You should probably discuss this matter with your Dr and see what he thinks you can have and not affect your baby.
