colace IS Safe As Well AS Fiber Supplements Suxh As Miralax. I Also Prop My Feet Up On A Stool (About6 in) And Lean Back, It Really Does Help.

My doctor has me taking iron twice daily plus my prenatal for anemia and she told me to use a stool softener/laxitive daily. I chose Colace and it did NOT work. I ended up in the hospital last weekend with impacted stool that had to be manually removed. What a nightmare o_O After all that my doctor recommended these brands: Miralax, Senokot or Milk of Magnesium. Good luck.

My doctor recommended OTC Miralax, and it had been a lifesaver.  But ask your doctor first.   Feel better!

Prune juice/prunes.  Warm water or tea. A coffee. I'd recommend for the rest of your pregnancy that you eat a few prunes in the morning and in the evening to maintain regular bm. Kiwi fruit with the skin on works well too!

I took ducolax pink and yes it helps you go within 6 hrs but I had the worst stomach cramps and went like 6x within an hour. I'd recommend colace it's a stool softener and is way more gentle on your belly. Good Luck, I feel your pain!

My Dr recommended citranatal assure prenatal vitamins. It's two pills, and they contain the vitamin, DHA, and a stool softener. I really thought during pregnancy I would be constipated too but I'm going everyday. I'm not sure if you need a prescription but I get the samples from my dr and they last me about a month, from one appt to the next.

Ok So This May Sound Weird But I've Read A Few Places To Prop You Feet Up On A Stool Or Stack Of Books About 6 To 8 Inches Off The Ground Because It Aids In Getting A Better position For Going. Hey Anything Is Worth A Try.

Lol.  Don't worry about the errors.  I don't use any otcs but you could try warm apple juice.  That works for me most of the time.
