How contagious is a staph infection such as mrsa and ringworm to infants? And how serious is it?

Children (and adults, as well) who come in contact with day-care centers, playgrounds, locker rooms, camps, dormitories, classrooms and other school settings, and gyms and workout facilities are at higher risk of getting MRSA . Parents should be especially cautious of children who participate in activities where sports equipment is shared, such as football helmets and uniforms.[26]

I'm pregnant with my first and my mom bought a crib and pack and play and things like that for her house but my cousin is pregnant with her second and occasionally visits. Her first child has had mrsa and constant ringworm so I really don't want my baby to share it's crib or playpen with her baby but my mom says I'm being selfish. Keep in mind these items were bought specifically for my baby if I weren't pregnant she wouldn't have bought them. What do you think I don't want to put my baby at any unnecessary risk
Staph infection is contagious! It can go from 1 to 2+ fast. Most times it needs to be treated by a doctor.
