WORRIED! HELP!

I just left my doctors office and she measured my uterus and said I am measuring about 3 weeks behind. I will be 35 weeks tomorrow and measurng 32 cm... she didnt say much about it but ordered an ultrasound for next thursday to check the babys measurments and my fluid. Two weeks ago I was measuring perfectly and I even gained 6 lbs since then (which is a lot because i was only gaining 1 lb every 2 weeks).... so I am sure others have been told their measurments were off before and I am wondering what could be the cause? Is my baby small? Is it just the way she is positioned? Im not sure sure if I should be freaking out because the doctor did seem a little concerend, enough to make me go back next week... also sort of unrelated I think, the past 3 nights when I lay down for bed I have been cramping. Ots constant, not on and off and last from 1-2 hours. Switing positiins doesnt help. The onyl thing the doctor said was "the good thing is that it stops" .. please help this is my first baby and I am clueless!! Sorry this is so long... please reply if you have read this far!! Thank you in advance.

I was measuring 33cm when I was full term. Even at 39 weeks I meausred 33cm. It was just the way she was laying. I delivered 2 days ago and she weighed 7lbs 6ozs.

Im a rn its not the way the baby was positioned that doesn't matter as far as your uterus measures but the baby drolping coukd be a reason. I was measuring this way last pregnancy. My son WS born at 36 wks bc Of low fluid. He also was born with iugr that's why I measured smaller and he was 3.5 lbs. But he was healthy no nicu or anything. It could just be nothing so don't worry they'll monitor you more to keep an eye out.

There's several reasons you could be measuring small. One could be ur baby has dropped which is what happened to me at 35 weeks. This is a good thing it means the baby is in position for birth. Another reason is you could be leaking amniotic fluid. My dr also ordered an ultrasound when I was measuring small. They do them to make sure ur not leaking fluid and that the baby is still growing. Mine was fine he just dropped down really low. I wouldn't worry too much. Even if ur leaking u r 35 weeks and if they had to induce u ur baby would more than likely be fine. Good luck!
